This New Year 2024...

Greetings Life House Family,

As we enter this new year may we continue to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness. When we think of how God made us worthy to receive His glorious inheritance through His salvation gift, our hearts are full of gratitude. We have been rescued from the darkness into the marvellous light of the kingdom of His beloved son. To be together to learn of Him is such a gift we have as a Life House Family. To stand in prayer for each other strengthens our heart as we navigate all that is going on in the world.

Many of our Life House family are going through very hard situations and we count it a privilege to hold up your “arms” during this time. This is a reference in Scripture to when the Israelites were attacked by the Amalekites. (Exodus 17:8-l4) Joshua went out to battle and Moses went to the top of the mountain with the rod of God in his hand. He took Aaron and Hur with him. As Moses held up his arms they were winning the battle and when he tired, they began to lose. When Moses' hands were heavy, he sat on a rock and Aaron and Hur held up His arms on each side until they prevailed in the battle. Moses then built an altar and named it “ The Lord is my Banner”. God tells Moses to write this for a memorial.

There are many types and shadows in this portion of scripture that encourage us to be praying for each other and the battles we are in. Moses held up the rod of God representing God’s authority. We have been given authority in His Name and by His Word and His finished work, and the power of Holy Spirit.( 2nd Corinthians10:4) For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” His mighty weapons defeat the wiles of the enemy. Our hands can get “heavy” with the burdens of the circumstances we are in, and need our brothers and sisters to hold us up in prayer and give us fresh hope. As we see The Lord Our banner defeat the enemy, let us build an altar in our hearts and mark the victories we have seen Him win.

Our heart is to stand together in spirit and prayer for all our families.

Let us pray:

Dear heavenly Father we are so grateful for Your love and Your encouragement as we enter this new year. We ask for Your leading in all our endeavours. We wait for Your leading, knowing You have plans and purposes both individually and corporately. We ask you would teach us how to walk in your ways. Our hope and future are rooted in heaven. We ask for Your Kingdom to continue to come to our earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for wisdom and understanding as we put our trust in You. Thank you for Your mercy and multiplied grace extended to all of us. We ask for all our loved ones to come into all You have for them.  Jesus You are our healer. We ask for Your healing touch for all those battling illnesses. We ask for emotional healing for those who have had trauma and hurtful circumstances. Would you give us the power to forgive those who have brought hurt to our lives. We pray for healing of finances. Help us to let go of things you don’t want us to carry. Thank you for the gift of discernment. We so want to know what to say “yes” to and what to say “no” to. We want to choose life in all our situations. We know that the secret things belong to You Lord but Your word tells us that those things that are revealed, belong to us and our children forever.” Deuteronomy 29:29. Lord it is our heart to be so close to you that we can be trusted with Your secrets. Bring us to that place. We long to be aware of Your presence continually. Thank You for your amazing love. We pray all this in Your name Jesus.

Love, Cheryl
