Arise Shine! - Christ in Us the Hope of Glory

Greetings Life House Family,

I hope you are enjoying your spring break and looking forward to celebrating the most significant event in our Christian Life. He has Risen!!! This truth has taken us into this beautiful relationship with The God Head. Our precious Heavenly Father, our gift of Jesus and living life with them through Holy Spirit. We have so much to celebrate. The gift of knowing the true meaning of Easter. May we have many opportunities to live our faith before this world, in particular our loved ones.

As we approach this special time of our year I have been pondering the scripture Isaiah 60:1,2. It says in NKJV “ Arise shine for your light Has come.” We can arise and shine because of Calvary and the finished work Jesus accomplished for us. He is the light of the world and He will shine through us as we look to Him and believe His Word .” His glory is risen upon us”. Christ in us the hope of glory. It continues to say ”For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people “ We certainly see this condition in the earth today. Darkness is the absence of light. Particularly the absence of His Light.

The enemy has done a job on creating situations to keep darkness prevalent. I am reminded of the book by C.S .Lewis called “The Screwtape Letters”. The premise is that a junior devil and a senior devil are having conversations about how to keep the people in bondage. The junior devil asks “remind me of the plan” and the senior devil answers him saying ”Our plan is to create so much noise that man can no longer hear the voice of his God”. This is what is happening. There is so much noise and distractions to keep us from the first and most important relationship of our lives.

To be still and know God’s voice through His Word. The enemy is continually offering counterfeit plans through illegitimate means to create a path away from our God. He enjoys hindering our advancement in Kingdom ways.Praise God the last part of verse two is “that the Lord will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you and the Gentiles shall come to your light.” His light is greater, His Presence through His Word is an overcoming, victorious light in Him. We have His blessing in our life and therefore we can be fruitful. This whole chapter is a great encouragement.

Let us be reminded that we have a great Redeemer who makes His divine exchange available continually. What a privilege to be in relationship with of King of Kings and Lord of Lords! To be able to flow with Him. He is going to win with or without us. Thankfully we are in Him. Those without Him can’t see even when His Light has come. Lord may You open the eyes of the blind. May Your Light so shine during our Easter season as we gather to celebrate Your Finished work.

Let us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father we thank You for Your great love. Words are not enough to express our gratitude for all You have done for us. Our heart is that You would be glorified in every area of our lives. We remember all who are in difficult situations. We ask for break throughs. We ask for Your grace to progress and fulfill our callings in You. Thank you that our direction comes from You. We will wait to hear You so we will know Your leading. Thank You that you are preparing us, as we live each day following You. We rest in Your love and pace. We ask for times of refreshing for all our Life house families. You are the God of all comfort Lord. Thank you, that You are with all those dealing with loss. For all those who are suffering with sickness, may they experience You as Jehovah Rapha Our Healer. Draw us nearer to Your heart, then we will have stamina to stand against the darkness. Thank You that we are clothed in Your righteousness. Thank you that there is no age in the spirit. There is continual life and strength in You Lord. We will not listen to the voice of the accuser. We have everything for Life and godliness in You. Thank You that Holy Spirit is available to quicken us and separate us from all unrighteousness. We come boldly to receive Your grace in our times of need. We choose to cooperate with You Lord. We are so grateful that You love us so unconditionally. We want to love what You love and hate what You hate. May it be so! In Jesus Name.

Multiplied blessings to all of you.

Hope you can join us at bible study on Monday.

Hugs, Cheryl
